Dr. Chris Mattmann to Testify Before U.S. House on Artificial Intelligence and American Prosperity

Dr. Chris Mattmann, President of Mattmann.AI and former UCLA Chief Data and AI Officer, and NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory Chief Technology and Innovation Officer, will testify next week before members of the U.S. House of Representatives as part of a roundtable on artificial intelligence and its impact on American prosperity.

The session, led by Representatives Eric Burlison and William Timmons, will examine how AI is reshaping the U.S. economy, workforce, and global competitiveness. Dr. Mattmann will provide expert insight based on over two decades of experience building large-scale AI and data systems across government, academia, and industry.

His testimony will focus on the rapid transformation of the workforce, the growing concentration of AI capabilities within a small number of technology firms, and the urgent need to expand national investment in AI infrastructure across universities and national laboratories.

Drawing on recent work with the University of California system and collaborations with the U.S. Department of Energy, Dr. Mattmann will highlight scalable models for distributed AI innovation that broaden participation, strengthen talent pipelines, and ensure the benefits of AI are widely shared.

This appearance reflects Mattmann.AI’s continued leadership at the intersection of artificial intelligence, national policy, and real-world deployment at scale.
